This pretty cottage is less than 5 minutes from the beach. It has a raised 'sun trap' terrace with garden furniture and a BBQ with a Mount view over the rooftops. Free parking for up to 2 cars is available nearby.

Property Details

Eastleigh is a traditional granite built Cornish cottage which retains lots of original features and character, whilst boasting a contemporary charm. There are lovely sea views from the 2  front bedrooms, and a  paved raised patio area with garden furniture to enjoy the sunshine. There is also a small courtyard with store and outside WC to the rear. Designated parking for up to 2 cars is just short walk away.

Eastleigh cottage has a well equipped  kitchen and a very comfortably furnished living/dining room with a fireplace and  wood burning  stove. On the first floor there are three charming bedrooms. The large master bedroom with a King size size bed has sea and Mount views. The second bedroom is also at  the front of the  house, with sea and Mount Views and has 2 single beds which can be pushed together to make a super king bed. The third bedroom at the rear of the cottage has bunk beds.

Eastleigh is equipped with a curved screen TV with BT sports channel & Freeview, DVD and superfast wi-fi. There is a raised decking area with  garden furniture and BBQ.  A large outbuilding in the rear yard is perfect for storing bikes and wetsuits  etc.

Eastleigh is conveniently located just a five minute walk from Marazion's quaint town centre with its cafes, traditional pubs, high quality restaurants and specialist shops selling crafts produced by local artists.

The cottage is just a few minutes walk from the safe sandy beaches of Mounts Bay from where you can look across to St Michaels Mount - surely one of the most incredible seaside views in England. Marazion is within easy travelling distance of all the major attractions in West Cornwall, which makes the cottage a perfect base for a Cornish holiday. The Tate Gallery in St Ives, the remarkable Minack Theatre, St Michaels Mount and several other outstanding National Trust properties and gardens are just some of the ‘South West Top Twenty’ visitor attractions within easy reach. Being just 3 miles from Penzance, Marazion has excellent road and rail links and is well placed for the International airports at Newquay and Exeter, with convenient flights from several UK and European airports.

Accommodation details

Bedrooms:  All bedrooms are upstairs on the first floor.

Bedroom 1 has a King size bed with views of the sea and St Michael's Mount. There is a large mirrored wardrobe with sliding doors providing excellent storage. The bedroom is carpeted.

Bedroom 2 has a pair of single beds. These can be pushed together to make a super king size bed. There are views of the Sea and the Mount. Storage is provided with a wardrobe and cupboards. The room is carpeted.

Bedroom 3 has bunk beds and lots underbed storage bedside table. The room is carpeted. 

Bathroom: The family bathroom upstairs is fitted with a full size bath with a rain shower over, a WC and hand basin. The room has an electric towel rail.

Kitchen Area: The good sized kitchen has modern cream units providing lots of useful storage space and  wooden worktops with a Belfast sink. 

There is an electric hob with extractor hood over and an electric fan oven, microwave, toaster, fridge and dishwasher. A freezer and washer / dryer are in the outside store.

Living/Dining Area: The comfortable living / dining room has two comfortable sofas beside a large stone fireplace fitted with a wood burning  stove, perfect for those cooler evenings. The curved screen TV has BT Sport & Freeview, DVD and a Bose sound system so you can listen to your own music via bluetooth or wi-fi. The dining area has a  glass topped table with 6 dining chairs.

Cleaning/Towels/Linen: 

Bath and Hand Towels and bed linen are provided. Please bring your own Beach Towels.

Amenities/Facilities: 

Eastleigh benefits from parking for 2 cars nearby, A High Chair and Travel Cot are available (but bring your own bedding for the travel cot). There is also some children's cutlery and Groclock sleep trainer for toddlers

Accessibility:

All three bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs in this quaint cottage. This unfortunately means that the cottage is not suited to those with mobility issues.

Outside:

Good sized outside store in private rear courtyard - handy for storeage of cycles, wetsuits and boards. Outside toilet,  BBQ.

Enclosed rear garden with raised decking area and patio furniture benefitting from over rooftop views of St Michaels Mount.


Changeover Day

Changeover day for Eastleigh is on a Saturday. Tenancies begin at 4.00pm on the day of your arrival and end before 10.00am on the day of your departure

Booking Notes

To secure your booking, a 25% non - refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The final balance is due 8 weeks before your arrival date, together with a £30 booking fee and a £100 re-fundable security deposit. By making a booking you accept our terms and conditions.

Short Breaks

Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights may be accepted at our discretion from the beginning of November until Easter, (not including Christmas / New Year). Short stays are priced pro rata of the weekly rate plus an additional cleaning charge. For stays of 5 nights or more the full weekly charge applies.
