Rosevean is a very spacious 3 bedroom traditional Cornish Cottage sleeping six, close to the beach, restaurants, shops and galleries in Marazion. Beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout, with private on site parking and a patio area.

Entering the cottage from the rear courtyard into the large well equipped kitchen, there is space for coats and shoes after a day out walking or on the beach.  Leading from the kitchen is spacious dining room with a feature fireplace and wood burner. The extendable dining table has ample space for six guests. Off the dining room on the ground floor is a shower room - convenient after a sandy day on the beach. Upstairs to the 1st floor is the spacious living room with a view of the sea. Up another set of stairs on the 2nd floor are 3 bedrooms and a good size family bathroom. The double bedroom and bathroom have fine sea views. To the rear is a lovely courtyard style garden with block paving and mature shrubs a picnic table and garden furniture. 

Outside there is space for a washing line, BBQ and table and chairs. One car can be parked in the courtyard. Additional cars can park nearby at the Marazion Seafront Car Park for £4.50 / day (free from November - March)

Bedrooms:  All bedrooms are upstairs on the top floor. 

  1. Bedroom 1 with a King size bed and Sea view. Wardrobe. Shelving. 2 bedside tables.

  2. Bedroom 2 with twin zip & link beds which can be joined together to form a kingsize bed. Wardrobe. Chest of drawers, bedside table. Shelving

  3. Bedroom 3 with bunk beds bed. (Suitable for children under 14yrs ) Hanging space. 1 bedside table. 1 Chest of drawers.

Bathroom: There is a modern family bathroom on the second  floor with low level WC, hand basin with mirror, full size bath with electric shower over. 

Kitchen : The ground floor kitchen, has high quality modern  units with lots of work space, storage space and a sink/drainer. Electric hob with extractor and fitted single fan oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, fridge /freezer and coffee machine. 

Dining Room: The dining room on the ground floor, has a large extendable table, perfect for those large gatherings with seating for six. There is a inglenook fireplace with wood burner and a pew for extra seating. The tumble dryer is under the stairs.

Shower room: The shower room on the ground floor, has a good size shower, WC and sink. Always useful when coming in with sandy toes from the beach.

Living room: The spacious  living room, on the first floor has  sea views  and is furnished with 2 comfortable sofa's and an armchair. The largescreen TV sits on a corner unit and there are occasional tables for those well earned glasses of wine to enjoy whilst on your holiday. A Multi fuel stove provides for cosy nights in. There are plenty of lamps for reading and subtle background lighting..

Other information: Bed linen and hand / bath towels are provided, however please bring your own beach towels. This property also has a travel cot and high chair. Central heating is by way of a combination of electric storage heaters and gas fired radiators, together with 2 x log burning stoves.

Accessibility: Due to the fact that all bedrooms, the living room and the family bathroom are upstairs on the second  floor we regret that the cottage may not be suited to some people with mobility issues.

Dog friendly: The owners are happy for 2 well behaved dogs to stay, providing they are not allowed on the furniture and they must be kept downstairs.

Courtyard Garden: The courtyard garden has a blocked paved area with mature shrubs. A table and chairs are provided to enjoy this outside area. There is a handy washing line and BBQ. The Courtyard is gated and secure for children or pets.

Parking: Parking is available on site in the gated courtyard area. Additional car parking is available at the Marazion Seafront Car Park for £4.50 / day. 

Additional Note:
Please note, a lower occupancy rate applies on weekly bookings out of season. A 5% reduction if 4 guests stay. A 10% reduction if 2 guests stay. Must be requested at time of booking.


Changeover Day

Changeover day for Rosevean is on Saturday. Tenancies begin at 4.00pm on the day of your arrival and end before 10.00am on the day of your departure.

Booking Notes

To secure your booking, a 25% non - refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The final balance is due 8 weeks before your arrival date, together with a £30 booking fee and a £100 re-fundable security deposit. There is a £25 charge per dog per stay. By making a booking you accept our terms and conditions.

Short Breaks

Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights may be accepted at our discretion from the beginning of November until Easter, (not including Christmas / New Year). Short stays are priced pro rata of the weekly rate plus an additional cleaning charge. For stays of 5 nights or more the full weekly charge applies.

Meet Rosevean's Owner, Geraldine

How long have you owned Rosevean?  11 years, we bought it after selling the family home on the Scilly Isles.

What's your favourite view of St Michael's Mount? Downstairs bar at the Godolphin with the dog.

What's your favourite things to do in Marazion? Our favourite occupation is walking but other family members enjoy SUPs and surfing. The grandchildren spend hours rockpooling and generally mucking about on the beach. We always fit in a visit to Minack, the Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and all those lovely cafes for cream teas. As many trips as possible on the train from St Erth to St Ives.

Where is your favourite place for a meal?  We love the Victoria Inn in Perranuthnoe. Lovely food, we have had excellent lobster there. Lovely fire in the winter, particularly if eating in the bar area. Not only that they have a part of the bar room where your dog can come too if you wish.

What is your favourite walk in the area? There are so many favourite walks with the dog, Lelant Saltings to St Ives. The Coastal Path from Marazion to Perranuthnoe then a coffee at the beach cafe. Prussia Cove to Keneggy is another lovely one.

What is the history of Rosevean? The row is listed' as of historical interest ' so the facade cannot be altered. At one time it was a shoe shop and before that it was part of Crown Stores.
