4 Fun Things To Do During February Half-Term!

Are you coming down to Cornwall during the February half-term? Well we've compiled a short list of fun things to do during your stay.

1. St Michael's Mount

On your doorstep is an amazing and unique place to explore.

An imposing sight with an amazingly rich history sits just 400 yards away from Marazion across the bay. It's an unmissable place to visit during your stay.

Whilst the castle and gardens are closed until March, a visit here with a walk over to the Mount and stroll around the quaint harbour is a must.

2. Enjoy the Beaches

Perfect family fun can always be found on one of Cornwalls many glorious beaches. On your doorstep there's the beach in Mount's bay, then there's Perranuthnoe five minutes away to the east. Porthcurno and Sennen Cove lay to the West and less than 20 minutes away to the north is St Ives Bay!

Regardless of the direction you explore you'll come across a fantastic beach on which to relax, sunbathe, surf or explore.

3. Dolphin Spotting & Bird Watching

Whether you're on the hunt to spot things swimming through the sea or flying through the sky, Marazion is the place to be. The RSPB protected marshland features Herons, Warblers, Chiffchaff, Starling Sparrowhawks & Peregrine Falcons (to name a few); just off the coast of the bay Dolphins swim in large Pods. The wildlife around Marazion is breathtaking!

4. Science of the Sea at the NMM

Enjoy amazing hands on science shows that are fun for the whole family this half-term. Hosted at the National Maritime Museum, discover the wonderful world of chemistry through the everyday life of water. Explorer Dome’s show is a live, expert-led science show with entertaining demonstrations, audience interaction and volunteers will be required!

There's plenty of other things to see and do but we've just picked out some highlights. You can find inspiration for more things to do with other articles on our news page.
