Pen Vista is a traditional granite built Cornish cottage which retains lots of original features and character, whilst boasting a contemporary appeal. From the master bedroom and kitchen there are fabulous panoramic sea views right across Mounts Bay incorporating the magical island castle of St Michaels Mount. The cosy living room has an impressive inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove which supplements the electric central heating throughout the property. There is a well equipped kitchen / dining room and separate utility room. The small south facing rear courtyard has a patio table and 4 chairs. There is also a useful storeroom for hanging wetsuits and buckets & spades..

Upstairs there are two charming bedrooms. The light and airy master bedroom has a King size bed and it’s own en-suite, and outstanding panoramic sea views. The second bedroom has two single beds which can be zipped together to make a king-size bed.

Pen Vista is conveniently located just a three minute walk from Marazion's quaint town centre with its cafes, traditional pubs, high quality restaurants and specialist shops selling crafts produced by local artists. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to the safe sandy beach where you can walk across the causeway to St Michaels Mount - surely one of the most incredible seaside castles in England.

Guest Reviews

“Pen Vista was perfect for my Stepdad & Mum and their dog Alphie for a week away on their 25th wedding anniversary. My parents had the most amazing time, they didn’t want for anything and are still talking about their holiday now! A special occasion at a special place.
The cottage was imaculate and there was lovely afternoon tea on arrival. The neighbourhood was very friendly and the pubs nearby serve amazing food. The cottage has spectacular views of St Michaels mount and has a lovely little sun trap out at the back on the decking. We would definitely recommend PenvVista to anyone looking for a week of beach, beautiful seaside town and great pub grub.”

Perfect size for us. It’s a bright, clean and comfortable cottage (lovely beds/bedding/towels!). The view of St Michael’s Mount is wonderful every morning. Thank you for the welcome scones and the jar of dog buscuits too.

Meet the Owners

How long have you owned Pen Vista Cottage?
“We purchased Pen Vista in 2018 having previously holiday let in Mousehole.  Sophie's Cornish heritage won the day when they re-located permanently to Cornwall to raise their family, choosing West Penwith where Steve grew up, over the Falmouth area where Sophie still has relatives.”

What’s your favourite view of St Michael’sMount?
”Our favourite view of St Michael's Mount, apart from the middle of the causeway when the tide is lapping at our feet, is from the moors above Madron at Bosiliack”.

What’s your favourite things to do in Marazion?
”Our favourite thing to do in Marazion is to take a picnic onto the beach at sun-down and watch people jumping off Chapel Rock into the sea as the tide comes in”.

Where is your favourite place for a meal?
Our favourite place for lunch is Tremenheere Kitchen at the wonderful dog-friendly Sculpture Gardens.  For dinner our favourite eatery is most definitely Ben's Cornish Kitchen in Marazion, and if we just fancy great food and somewhere to eat where we can take our dog and wear our wellies we head to the Fire Engine Inn up the hill in Marazion.”

What’s your favourite walk in the area?
”Our favourite walk is along the South West Coastal footpath, walking to or parking at the cemetery at the top of Turnpike Hill and heading towards Perranuthnoe. The views are breath-taking, and the walk justifies a cake at the Cabin or Peppercorn café, or even a delicious meal at the Victoria.”
